Mobile Legal Adviser

Salary £32,062.45 per annum pro rata

Up to 37 hours – part time/job share considered

Norfolk Community Law Service is looking to increase its outreach work across the county to ensure that we can offer our potentially life-changing support and advice to as many people as possible.

We are a registered charity, which has been delivering access to justice in Norfolk for more than forty years.

We are looking for a new Mobile Legal Adviser (MLA), to help compliment, improve and extend upon the outreach work of our current MLA.

The MLA role aims to establish regular outreach sessions across Norfolk to deliver effective triage and initial advice in relation to a range of legal areas, bringing legal advice to people living in rural areas of Norfolk struggling to access help.

We also want to increase awareness of NCLS and its work in some of the harder to reach areas of the county, by building up relationships with key partners, highlighting what we do to organisations and the public and collecting and sharing information about need in those areas.

We are looking for someone with drive and ambition and who not only can come up with a good idea, but the motivation to go through with it. You will be working closely with our CEO in what is seen as a vitally important strategic role for the charity.

As the cost-of-living crisis continues, this is a vital opportunity to offer people living in deprived communities help and hope, providing them with practical solutions.

We provide a hybrid model of home and office working and the chance to work within a forward-thinking, inclusive and important charity. The role will entail primarily covering the west side of the county, including Breckland, West and North Norfolk.

Closing date for applications is Monday 1st July. Interviews will be carried out on 9th July.
