Supporters of NCLS

The Supporters’ Group was established in April 2010 and acts as “friends” of NCLS, aiming to promote the work of the organisation and raise funds to continue and expand its services.

Our most prestigious fundraising events are our annual public lectures which focus on key issues concerning social justice, contribute to public information and debate, and raise the profile of our charity. Former speakers at these events include Philippe Sands, QC, the leading human rights and international lawyer, and Vera Baird QC, the Police and Crime Commissioner for Northumbria and former Attorney General.

Other regular events include our Annual Pub Quiz, and taking part in the Norwich Legal Walk and the Great Legal Bake.

We produce a twice yearly newsletter highlighting the achievements of NCLS, to view the latest addition click here.

We very much appreciate the generosity of everyone who helps to organise and support our events, and to raise money for us in other ways. Our thanks to all our volunteers including UEA undergraduate and graduate students and NCLS staff, and of course to members of the Supporters Steering Group. We would also like to warmly thank our various sponsors, particularly UEA Law School, the Norfolk and Norwich Law Society, Spire Solicitors, Hatch Brenner Solicitors, corporate sponsors, MJP Law and GMS Law Solicitors, and to all those who subscribe to NCLS.
